Dumping Your Email Client
Making your email client go away. As we move closer and closer to a real cloud computing world, getting rid of your email client becomes more of a viable solution.
Up until recently I have been a long time Microsoft Outlook user. I have also tried just about every email client known to techkind. One of the biggest issues I always had was keeping my laptop email sycned to my desktop email and both of them synced to my Blackberry.
After much research I finally made the move to Gmail.
It should be noted that before making the move to cloud email you should take security issues into consideration and do the appropriate due dilligence.
Gmail has really matured over the years and has tons of features as it incorporates many of its other apps into its application. Of course there is just too many features to go into here but if you are considering Gmail here is a good page to start with: Gmail Support
If you are a smartphone user, Gmail has a very robust set of tools to make your email, calendar and tasks centralized. Add in Google Voice, Documents, and its off line access and you have a very complete set of communication tools. Plus you dont have to worry about what computer you are working on.
Lastly and sometimes an overlooked perk from making this move is the disk space I have freeded up.

We have been awaiting reviewing this method too. Perfect read.
