Windows 7 Backup
I was recently helping a friend of the family setup a new laptop and moving over their data from an ancient HP desktop. We got around to discussing backups. This is where things got a little shaky. The deeper I got into types of backups and different backup storage locations, I started to see their eyes gloss over and get that far away look. We agreed that this would be a subject for a different day. So, when I got home, I decided this would be good subject for a tutorial. Instead of trying to explain each step in detail I decided if they could have a video walking them through the process would be better suited as this way they could stop the video or replay it as required. Instead of re-creating the wheel on this, Microsoft has a well produced video on this subject which I included below. Naturally, since I use WordPress I am partial. If you are just getting started, you may want to consider WordPress.com for a free hosted solution to get started. If you decide to host your own blog as I do with this one, then you can used WordPress.org and be able to import everything from WordPress.com without too much trouble.
@chels I know what you mean, its hard to find good help these days. People now days just don’t have the work ethic they used to have. I mean consider whoever wrote this post, they must have been working hard to write that good and it took a good bit of their time I am sure. I work with people who couldn’t write like this if they tried, and getting them to try is hard enough as it is.
